Hamilton Escarpment Property Completion

We recently completed a complete
scrape, caulk, prime and repaint
of a 1970's era design home below
the Hamilton Escarpment.

The job took approximately 15
days on site of serious surface preparation,
followed by two coats of Sherwin Williams
Duration exterior flat latex.

Hardie type siding is difficult when composed
of cedar due to tannin extraction and you can
see from the prep photo how much scraping
and sanding needs to be done to properly
prepare the siding for a new coating.

We used the indomitable Zinsser 1-2-3
acrylic primer for spot priming and caulked
with 35 year DAP acrylic prior to using
the SW Duration exterior flat acrylic. This
project carries warranty for 10 years on our
work and 20 years on the coating system.
